Fall Concert
As the leaves begin to turn and autumn arrives, we are thrilled to launch the Bountiful Philharmonia 2026–2027 season!
First and foremost, we want to express our deepest gratitude to our incredible audience, patrons, and community. Your continued enthusiasm and support allow us to fulfill our mission to educate, entertain, and inspire year after year. We truly couldn’t do this without you.
To kick off this exciting new season, we warmly invite you, your friends, and your family to join us for an inspiring evening of music featuring two iconic orchestral masterpieces:
Featured Works
- Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8: Unlike the stormy, dramatic tone of some classical symphonies, Dvořák’s Eighth is famously warm, lyrical, and brimming with joy. Deeply inspired by the Bohemian countryside and Czech folk traditions, the piece bursts with playful woodwind birdcalls, rich cello melodies, and an exuberant finale kicked off by a roaring trumpet fanfare. It’s a true celebration of life and nature that is guaranteed to leave you smiling.
- Copland’s Buckaroo Holiday: From the iconic ballet Rodeo, Aaron Copland’s Buckaroo Holiday captures the vibrant, infectious spirit of the American West. Packed with syncopated rhythms, bold brass fanfares, and folk-inspired tunes like “Sis Joe” and “If He’d Be a Buckaroo,” this piece vividly paints a picture of cowboy life, wild rodeos, and wide-open landscapes. Its energetic drive and humor make it an instant crowd-pleaser for listeners of all ages!
